"Remove the Stone": Using Your Sins to Redirect Spiritual Energy

Even St. Paul wonders why he does the bad things that he does not intend and does not do the good things that he does intend (Romans 7:19-25). The ability to examine ourselves may be elusive, but it is not impossible, but, more often than not, we look at the end result, rather than our motivations for why we do the things that we do. This is at the heart of spirituality. The title, "Remove the Stone," refers to Jesus' invitation to people to remove the stone from Lazarus' tomb, so that he can rise to new life. We, too, are invited to new life by examining the blockages that exist in our lives that prohibit life, true life, from flowing through us. "Remove the Stone" is about looking closely at the root cause of our blocks, so that, by unblocking, we can realize healing and new life, which will change the fruit.
