How to Have a 100% Organic Raised Bed Garden

Our garden danced in my head years before it became a reality. We moved from metro-south Florida to rural North Carolina in 1988, in order to fulfill both mine, and my husband’s dream, to live in the country. Our claim to country living is a small 14.25 acre, with circa 1950 farmhouse, mini-farm in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. We have six acres of meadowland, seven of forest, and approximately one acre surrounds our homesite. This guide chronicles my gardening journey.
