Since America began in 1776 to the present day, the fight for freedom has always involved a struggle against slavery. In olden days, it was easy to tell if one were a slave. Today? Not so much. The computer has changed everything. In ancient times, a “master” owned the fruits of your labor because he owned YOU! In modern times, a “master” may own the fruits of your labor and never physically touch you. Yet this “master” can take every penny you earn for the rest of your life, and it is all made possible by a government employee on a computer. Why should the government want to own your person when all they really want is to own your paycheck? Thus the specter of slavery continues to haunt us today.
