This text has as its broad concern the provision of a model which can be utilized by educators to assist them in becomingmore ef?cient in organizing their instructional goals and to better evaluate achievement of learning concerned with cognitive. affective, and psychomotor behaviors. The specific intent of this textis to provide a functional written taxonomy for the psychomotor domain to be utilized for the classification of observible movement behaviors. The classi?cation levels withing the model are hierarchically arranged along a continuum from the lowest level of psychomotor behavior to the highest level. This taxonomy will make it possible for educators to identify and classify behaviors unique to the psychomotor domain. It will act as a guide for educators concerned with preparing a a meaningful sequential curriculum utilizing appropriate instructionai strategies, andselecting relevant measurement techniques.
