All These Quiet Places

With her dogs as her closest companions, Davi Wallace has lost touch with her friends and family. At first, the distance grew slowly, the bonds between them only stretching thin instead of tearing apart. Then, days began to bleed into months with her inability to sleep until the daytime while her husband, Victor, was at work. With her emotions numbed by medication, she now realizes that months have turned into years, and along with the loss of her family's support, her once-normal marital home has become a prison, one she must keep fastidiously tidy to suit Victor's taste. Overwhelmed by housework, medication, sleep deprivation, and torment, Davi has no choice but to keep moving through her daily routine, putting one foot in front of the other, at a loss to understand how it all could have come to this. Inspired by actual events, All These Quiet Places explores the topics of domestic violence, psychological trauma, taboo, identity, recovery, and forgiveness while following Davi's return from the brink of insanity, and if she wants to find the path back to the life she once knew, she will have to be willing to risk everything she has left.
