📖 Description
Butch is a chess hustler in lower Manhattan's Washington Square. Martin is a Brit-lit professor with a lot of spare time on his hands. Together, they discover forty chess problems featuring brilliant sacrifices and combinations--all with disastrous results. Along their travels they run into a beautiful redhead, some unfortunate meals, and a missing million-dollar necklace. Somehow, it must all come together in the end. But how?
