5th ICEG - Environmental Geotechnics: Opportunities, Challenges and Responsibilities for Environmental Geotechnics (2 volume set)

This set of books presents the proceedings of the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering's (ISSMGE) 5th International Congress on Environmental Geotechnics, held in Wales, UK in June 2006. The congress brings together practitioners, academics and the public sector to highlight the latest ideas and developments in environmental geotechnics and related fields.

The congress was organised by the Geoenvironmental Research Centre at Cardiff University, supported by the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) and the Building Research Establishment (BRE). As stated above, the congress series is sponsored by the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE), supported on this occasion by the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) and the British member society of ISSMGE, the British Geotechnical Association (BGA). The congress was organised under the auspices of ISSMGE's Technical Committee on Environmental Geotechnics (TC5).
