Headhunters on Parade

Headhunters on Parade, a collection of stories, true, no doubt about that. It is also true that these stories are quirky, funny, sad, annoying, exhilarating, possibly! They touch a nerve and that nerve propels the cells that make up the brain, the brain of the mind, the mind that possesses scattered, incoherent thoughts. Now, as to the origin of the term, Headhunters, curious? Doesn't literally mean a head hunter, that is, a person that searches for the cranium of human species, slices off that cranium, shrinks it down and displays it on his/her mantelpiece. No sir.

Headhunters referred to within this volume are merely the nickname given to Executive Search people, recruiters, personnel, in general, human beings who go out into the modern post-industrial world, search around pillar and post, peer through skyscrapers and executive suites to discover jobs for you and me and your neighbor. In return for placing heads, they receive salaries, commissions, and perks like trips to Las Vegas and Hawaii during the rainy season. Headhunters on Parade are stories about them, by them, for them, and forever them. Let us raise a pitcher of rainwater and drink to their continued health.
