Nurturing Our Inner Selves, a Huna Approach to Wholeness

The psychological-philosophical-spiritual teachings of the ancient priests of Hawaii -- Huna -- add a new dimension to the study of human development. We are born with not one but two separate yet fully aware and intelligent minds: the emotional and the rational. Huna teaches that we are connected to a third mind, a Higher Mind. These three minds, or Selves, make up our Inner Family. By understanding the phases of human development through the perspective of the Inner Selves, we learn how to nurture our hearts, minds, and spirits -- and master the skills to become whole.
