The author then considers sorption separations, which can be (but seldom are) operated as equilibrium-staged systems, and membrane separations, which are inherently rate processes. Finally, there is a progress report on selection and sequencing of separations.
The book is directed at senior undergraduate and graduate students of chemical engineering.
