First to appear is a rabbit, then a cat, and then a cheerful little bird. When toddlers look at the picture on the front cover of this delightful book they'll see that one friendly animal is the center of attention. As they open the book, and turn each board page, they'll see more delightful animal characters joining in to fill the expanding picture. The illustrations are constructed of layered cardboard with animal characters appearing through die-cut openings. The openings become larger on each succeeding page so that more animal friends can enter the scene.
