The Healer

Since he was a boy, Jess Waterson has commanded a miraculous ability to "fix hurt things"---to heal a broken bone or a fatal disease in just seconds. When the National Security Agency discovers his secret, the chief of the Agency persuades Jess---for a cool $3 million a year---to permit scientific studies of this gift, assuring him that the knowledge will be used to wipe out disease and suffering worldwide. Soon, however, Jess realizes his role as the "government's miracle worker" is part of a deadly power game. And he is forced to flee the country---with the government in hot pursuit.
