Focusing on the efforts of teacher educators struggling to meaningfully address issues of race, class, and gender in their classrooms, Practicing What We Teach goes beyond the realm of the theoretical to link multicultural theory to actual classroom practice. In so doing the contributors expose some of the stark realities of addressing issues of diversity in institutions where there has traditionally been little research or support for multicultural efforts.
