Dizzy the Dyslexic Duck

Dizzy the Dyslexic Duck is a heartwarming story about a duck who has difficulty following directions. Mother duck, being very wise, knows with a few modifications that Dizzy can learn to fly, read, and follow instructions. Although he learns differently, he can still be successful. In spite of his learning difficulties, Dizzy is able to save his family from the hunters; the chicks from the fox; and Herbert, the snail, from being eaten by Dizzy's brothers and sisters. Eventually, all of the barnyard creatures begin to appreciate Dizzy for his perseverance, bravery, and tenderheartedness.

Dizzy could be any of us who learns a bit differently from the rest. Learning differently does not mean you cannot succeed. As the story of Dizzy progresses, Dizzy even becomes a hero. He teaches us that nothing is impossible as long as you have the will to learn. Each page of the book has been beautifully illustrated in a realistic portrayal of ducks and other farmyard animals as they occur in nature.
