God's Manna to Me
Book Details
Description
It is really odd that sometimes I think of these poems when someone is talking about something in one of our classes or just in everyday conversation, and it will remind me of a poem I wrote. Sometimes I share the poem with the speaker.
I have published a few of my poems on the Internet and in anthologies, and those are noted in the book. One of my favorites is "God's Eyes." That literally makes me wild with excitement. I wrote this in a single sitting. It just all jelled. We had been talking about Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and we were in our garden at the time and the poem came to me.
Another favorite I have is "The Orchid as Eucharist." It explains the mystery of the Eucharist, which so many of us have trouble grappling with until we really try with God's grace to wrap our minds around it. Of course, it is written from a Roman Catholic point of view. I know this poetry was meant to be shared. I showed a poem that I have not included in this book to someone and it changed her life. She literally decided to take one path in her life rather than the other.
Now that is exciting! I hope you think so, too!
