Nothing Left to Bitch About

Vicki, my wife, said to me one night, "You don't bitch about anything. If I say, it sure is hot, you say, it's not that hot. If I say, it sure is cold, you say, it's not that cold. If I say, I want something, you say it don't cost that much. If I want to go somewhere, you say it's not that far. Don't you ever bitch?"

My reply was, "When you have been where I've been, done what I have done, seen what I have seen, had done to you what I have had done to me, walked in my moccasins one mile, there is nothing left to bitch about."

This book has been on my mind since I came home from Vietnam. It takes you through some of my ancestry, through childhood, school, Vietnam, work, till today. I am now medically retired. After Nam, my college professor, and a retired veterinarian friend, and my childhood love, now my wife of two months, and my V.A. counselor all inspired me to write the story of my life.
