Not a war story in the usual sense,
Hot Rock Over the Himalayas is a digest of personal experiences with people, places, and things that made a lasting impression on author Charles H. Freeland from the day Lindbergh landed in Paris to Freeland’s final flight as a pilot in World War II.
It is also the author’s endeavor to convey to this and future generations a knowledge of how basic and simple life was for his generation when compared to life in 2004.
