Morning Praise and Evensong: A Liturgy of the Hours in Musical Setting

From the foreword: :As a concrete step toward the actual communal celebration of the two major Hours, Morning Praise and Evensong proposes to be: 1. a simplified, uncluttered, rubricated edition of Lauds and Vespers for common use; 2. a musical edition of the chief Hours which will strongly promote the fully sung Office and especially the restoration of a variety of psalmodic styles; 3. an incentive to the regular, fully ritualized celebration of the Hours by the many emerging Christian communities, lay, clerical and religious, which are springing up everywhere and searching for authentic, Catholic prayer forms."
