Assembled in the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia were Ridge Avenue Memorial s biggest donors contributors of no less than $500,000 each. In grateful recognition for his superior fund raising skills, Dr. Walter Hagen, President of Ridge, received a year-end bonus of $100,000 on top of his $650,000 salary. He was the highest paid hospital president in the northeast. Over 200 donors from Ridge s Crustal club crowded into the hotel ballroom for a night of orgasmic ego-drenching acclaim. Dr. Hagen s holiday cheer would deep freeze if he knew that Detective Lisa Marie Cooper was present with a list of Ridge s Crystal club donors unable to join the festivities. Those on Cooper s list had three things in common: 1) they were patients at the Ridge; 2) they all enjoyed special attention; 3) they were all now dead.
