This book describes highly active property offenders who commit themselves to careers in serious crimes such as burglary and armed robbery. The approach is unique for it situates these criminal careers within the important yet recently neglected sociological concepts of social class, criminal subcultures, and consciousness. The book brings class back into the dialogue of property crime among the highly criminally active and economically marginalized.
