Vanadium Compounds: Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Therapeutic Applications (ACS Symposium Series)

Vanadium is now known to be one of the more biologically important transition elements. This volume focuses on vanadium chemistry and biochemistry and summarizes the role of vanadium in treating diabetes, concluding with a discussion of a recent human trial study. The volume looks in particular at model compounds that mimic the chemistry of nitrogenases as haloperoxidases.
