A textbook for undergraduates in physics, electronics and allied disciplines providing a useful introductory survey of topics in electronics. It is concerned with integrated circuit technology and its impact on analogue and digital electronics, and removes much of the mystique and jargon which tends to surround modern electronics and scientific instrumentation. The emphasis is largely on the application of integrated circuits such as the operational amplifier or microprocessor, but the role of discrete devices is also considered.
