Computer Relaying for Power Systems (Electronic & electrical engineering research studies)

Equipment for computer relaying is now beginning to be installed on power systems throughout the world. Such relays, in addition to providing protection for power apparatus and systems, add a new capability to the protective equipment of the substation: the ability to communicate with the other local and remote computer systems. Through this ability, many novel ideas can be realised, such as the newly initiated field of adaptive relaying. The authors have worked in the area for 20 years and have originated many new ideas that have led to successful field applications.
