Lectiones Secundae - Student (Graded Readers Series)

Lectiones Secundae is part of the Artes Latinae series. Artes Latinae is a programmed, self-teaching Latin course structured to accommodate multiple levels of students, each learning at his or her own pace.

It is an easy-to-follow, two-level course that includes all the tools a student needs to achieve a firm command of Latin. It meets existing foreign language requirements for high school graduation. The course was carefully crafted and refined to suit the needs and abilities of a broad spectrum of students. Students from ages nine through adult have learned Latin through Artes Latinae.

A graded reader for second-year Latin students, Lectiones Secundae features units that include prose, poetry, and aphorisms (sententiae).

Authors represented in the book include the well-known, such as Caesar, Martial, and Phaedrus, as well as the lesser-known writers, whose work is included to illustrate the scope of Latin literature and the span of time it covers.
