Intermediate fashion design and water color illustration

This workbook is primarily intended for use as the second half of a coure of study introduced in Elementar Fashion Design and Trade Sketching: a workbook for the beginner. Although it may be used by itself, it presupposes a rudimentary knowledge of fashion sketching and the basics of design. Its purpose is twofold: 1. To continue on a more advanced level a discussion of the principles introduced in Elementary Fashion Design and Trade Sketching. While the elementary workbook concentrates on dress design. Intermediate Fashion Design and Water Color Illustration discusses other categoriesof apparel design, such a sportswear, children's wear, playclothes, beachwear, evening wear, sleepwear, loungewear, and suits and coats. 2. To introduce a simple step-by-step approach to water color painting. Included are basic color theory and the most popular illustrative painting techniques. To derive the best results from this course of study, the work for each chapter should be done in the order of its presentation. Exercises are carefully planned to provide maximum growth through a series of steady progessions.
