Substance Use and Delinquency among Inner City Adolescent Males: Urban Institute Report 90-3

Analyzes patterns of adolescent alcohol and drug use, drug selling, and crime, the factors associated with them, and potentially promising methods of intervention. The basis of the study is a set of extensive in-person interviews with a sample of 387 inner city male adolescents. Also provides recommendations for drug prevention and intervention efforts by the school system, the community, and the media.
