Charleston Then and Now

A photographic record of the change brought about over the last one hundred years in and near the city of Charleston. Included are sixty points of interest in and near the city between the 1890s, when the first set of photographs were taken, and the 1990s when each of the early scenes were rephotographed. The pictures, old and new, are arranged side-by-side, proceeding northward from the Battery in a tour sequence.
