📖 Description
The continuing growth of PM parts in a great number of applications has resulted in intense world-wide research and development efforts in the field. Advances in powder technology are presented in the areas of synthesis and processing of various ceramics, including electroceramics, biomaterials and nanocomposites; powder production and compaction, sintering, processing and characterization of important alloys and metal matrix composites. Properties of particular interest are corrosion, mechanical and magnetic properties. Special emphasis is placed on wet processing of metal-ceramic particulate systems, high energy milling, mechanical alloying and reactive milling, metal injection moulding, sintering atmospheres and metal ceramic nanocomposites.
