Advanced Materials Forum I: Proceedings of the 1st International Materials Symposium, Coimbra, Portugal, April 9-11, 2001 (Key Engineering Materials) (No. 1)

This First International Materials Symposium in Portugal was organized in order to provide a forum within which material scientists and engineers, drawn from a wide range of specialities, could present and discuss new research findings and compare points of view concerning advanced materials. The book of the symposium is divided into seven chapters, with the thematic headings: Manufacturing and Processing, Structural Materials, Materials and Environment, Materials and Life, Simulation and Modelling, Optoelectronic Materials and Nanotechnology. Altogether, the volume comprises 166 authoritative refereed papers covering these seven major areas of interest.
