Flower Adornment Sutra: Chapter 10 The Bodhisattvas Ask for Clarification

The Flower Adornment Sutra (or Avatamsaka Sutra or Flower Garland Sutra) is known as the King of Kings of all Buddhist scriptures because of its profundity and great length. This sutra contains the most complete explanation of the Buddha s realization and the 52 steps in the Bodhisattva's quest for awakening. With detailed explanations of every stage of the Bodhisattva Path, it is the ultimate handbook imparting valuable tools and methods of practice that no aspiring Bodhisattva can do without.

This volume contains Chapter 10 of the Sutra. Manjusri Bodhisattva engages in dialogue with nine Leader Bodhisattvas, mutually asking for clarification about ten profound issues, including, dependent origination, the Buddhas teaching and transforming, karmic retributions, field of blessings, the proper teaching, the proper practice, the aids to the Path, the One Path, and the states of the Buddhas.
