God Invasion

There’s the priest… Since time began God has gone to great lengths to have relationship with mankind. His desire has always been for a priesthood to intercede between Himself and mankind. He sought it in the nation of Israel and the Levites. At last He has found it in His Church. One neglected Truth of our time is that every believer stands in the intercessory capacity of a New Testament priest. True intercession is not merely prayer. Intercession connects humanity with the Divine. This position is the privilege of every Christian. There’s the people… Jerusalem was situated in the middle of every major trade route. In the center of bustling humanity was the Temple pointing to the Creator. Not content to be confined to one location, God has sprinkled His priesthood among the nations. He has placed His representatives in the midst of a hurting people who are desperately in need of a real Savior who really loves them. Like the Jewish Temple, these living temples provide opportunity for the people to interact with the Living God. Then there’s the Presence… The primary purpose of this priestly position is to manifest God’s Presence in the earthly realm. Jesus stripped Himself of divinity and donned a suit of fl esh in order to purchase our salvation. Two thousand years later, we are far removed from the reality of that event. Yet, through His priestly people God has determined to make Himself known to this world of confusion. God will once again invade the realm of man – but this time, He’s going to do it through YOU!
