Atlantis Discovered

Plato's account of Atlantis (600 BC) is surveyed by the author in a particularly masterly chapter and forms the foundation for the rest of his work. Spence assembles reliable evidence from many disciplines-archeology, anthropology, geology, folklore-to show that a definite Atlantean culture-complex existed on both sides of the Atlantic and that submerged continent was the means of dissemination from east to west.
