Henry Miller's Book of Friends: A Trilogy

In the rainbow of his years, at 81, the irrepressible Henry Miller began writing his last major work, "Book of Friends." This trilogy was issued during the seventies in three slender volumes at separate intervals. Now, for the first time, they are published in a single volume, as originally intended. In the first section he recalls the pals, cronies and loves of his Brooklyn boyhood. The second part, "My Bike and Other Friends," features memorable portraits of cohorts from European, Big Sur and Pacific Palisades years. In the concluding section,"Joey," he has created a "loving portrait of Alfred Perles together with some bizarre episodes relating to the opposite sex." You'll find Miller at his Rabelasian best.
