Minerals in soil environments

Minerals are fundamental to the physical, chemical and biological systems in soil. The majority of the chapters in this book, Minerals in Soil Environments, deal with the current understanding of various crystalline and non-crystalline minerals. However, an additional measure of completeness is evidenced by the inclusion of information on mineral equilibria, surface and colloid chemistry, shrink and swell clays, reactions of minerals with soil organic constituents, mineralogy and soil taxonomy, and on several methods of analysis.
