Patriot Dream

The writings of the founders of this country form the bedrock of our society today. They define freedom, the function of government, the role of the individual, the importance of education, and much more. But few people today have been taught these basic concepts, and even fewer have gone to the trouble to read the original documents. Patriot Dream is an effort to bring these seminal writings back into the heart of American awareness. It is a collection of key documents--the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. It also contains important commentaries which illustrate the development of American thought: excerpts from the Federalist papers, letters by Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison, pamphlets by Thomas Paine, and key speeches by George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Interspersed throughout are songs that inspired American throughout its formative years.
