Labels of Distinction - Microbrewery Label Design

This fabulous book graphically maps the evolution of American and European microbrewery labels, logos, and pub signs concentrating on their home-grown style of self-promotion and artwork. It documents a rare occasion when traditional graphic design (as employed by the giant breweries) is challenged with such boldness it has no option but to succumb. Spencer Drate is a creative director and designer who has been honored with many awards. He was commissioned by to create the packaging for Sunset Red Ale and Blond Ale. Thomas Olejar studied brewing at UCLA and has created a beer information software application for training and promotional use.
