At One With All Life: A Personal Journey in Gaian Communities

Planet Earth's most recent experiment, the human race, has already caused untold destruction to its global home. Gaian communities, on the other hand, aim to support the life, health and diversity of the planet, by embodying global principles and applying them in a manner appropriate to the immediate locality. The author's journey takes her to four continents and communities, from the Bear tribe, a Native American medicine society in Washington State USA, to the Findhorn community in Scotland, from the experimental city of Auroville in Southern India to the heart of the Gibson Desert in Australia, where she lived and travelled with Aborigines. Her account of her experiences among the groups she visits is far from an effusive report on their utopian efforts, she explores the pitfalls and disillusionment as well as the growth and joy that result from living a collective life. This book includes practical information on creating a lifestyle that supports the well-being of the planet wherever you live. It is not only about the environment however.
