Units, Symbols and Abbreviations

This is a useful reference source for medical and scientific editors and authors. It describes and defines the SI units that are in current use or have recently been instituted, gives guidelines on commonly used symbols and nomenclature, offers recommendations for the layout of references, and gives an abbreviated version of the British Standard Institution's list of symbols for proof corrections. The book has been completely revised and updated to take account of changes that have taken place over the last six years.
