It is a handy, at your fingertips guide to keep on hand to reference when an emergency arises. In addition to step-by-step instructions in what to do in an emergency, Dr. Kellon gives an excellent rating system that helps determine the urgency of the situation. The book has a spiral binding that allows it to lay open comfortably, such as on the barn floor while you are dealing with an emergency. Directions are clear and concise. Color-coded pages divided by major illness category, index and excellent appendices with vital information are useful. This book was written to be used when you're stressed and in a hurry, not as a book to be read for pleasure. 254pgs,
