John Henry Moss: Baseball's Miracle Man

John Henry Moss spent half a century as the driving force behind the South Atlantic League. Bob Terrell has spent nearly as many years writing about it. To recognize Moss’s fifty-year contribution to baseball, the SAL has retired #50 throughout the league, an honor previously accorded only to Jackie Robinson. Stadiums across the Southeast will erect bronze plaques to honor John Henry Moss’s successful efforts to keep the stands full and to provide quality, wholesome, family entertainment at an affordable price.
