Needle Laces: Battenberg, Point & Reticella

A republication of portions of several manuals printed between 1878 and 1917 dealing with the point laces ( laces worked with needle and thread which does not rely on any fabric ground). Battenburg lace, a product of the 19th century, utilizes one of the earliest products of the machine age, a woven tape.
