Sign crimes/road kill: From mediascape to landscape

Sign Crimes/Road Kill is a retrospective of Nelson's best work, ranging from "Adventures in Wonderland" (1980), a wry account of corporate engineering and the construction of Canada's own grotesque Disneyland, to "Top Guns" (1991), a typically acerbic look at the Tory administration and its connections to the Business Council on National Issues and Bush's much vaunted new world order.
The collection also represents the author's own journey—from a fascination with the construction of the North American media culture to a growing recognition of the severity of the current environmental crisis. Throughout it all, Nelson's controversial and entertaining prose trips lightly, and humorously, along a constant path of exploration.
