The Twisted Badge

This is the Third Edition of the Twisted Badge, which was first released in 1989. This edition provides an inside look at politics in law enforcement. The previous editions (ISBN 0-924309-00-8) were written by George Wright as told to Mike Madigan, but this edition, by prior agreement was written by Mike Madigan.

This edition present cases, including two homicides involving police officers which were never filed, and asks the reader to judge whether justice was served. Each chapter includes interviews with those involved in the case, supporting documentation and sworn testimony.

Much of the information contained in this edition was received from sworn police officers, judges and public officials who are tired of business as usual. These stories are often overlooked by print and electronic media because they involve law enforcement and/or large advertisers.

The Twisted Badge is dedicated to those criminal justice professionals who bring honor to the badge. The message of this book is - "The badge is not for twisting."
