Garnishing for the Beginner

All it takes to create grand-hotel-and cruise-ship-quality garnishes and to shape whimsical or beautiful food sculptures are the proper tools and patient instruction. This kit provides both. It consists of five stainless-steel garnishing tools and a 96-page, hardcover book written by an expert chef, Harvey Rosen. The tools are a corrugated cutter, a spiral slicer, a 2-1/4-inch paring knife, a food decorator, and a twin curl-cutter. The function of each is shown at an appropriate point in the book, which explains how to create specific garnishes--like a lemon pig and cucumber stairs--with easy-to-follow, step-by-step, black-and-white illustrations.
