About the program The activities in this guide were developed by the staff of the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation Community Assistance Program, located in St. Paul, Minnesota. The program, in existence since 1981, serves more than six hundred clients annually with a comprehensive range of services including prevention, crisis intervention counseling, information and referral, advocacy, culturally specific programming, and assessments for women, men, teens, and children. The Wilder Men's Domestic Abuse Program has been featured in Life, in the Lee Grant documentary, Battered, and on the Phil Donahue Show. Staff have provided experiential training for professionals from around the United States, Canada, Germany, Guam, Iceland, and Puerto Rico.
