Thrall

Echoing person, place, or thing and adding a question to the definition of a noun, THRALL begs yet another question: is the person a verb or a verb scape. THRALL takes up these lines of inquiry as the first line of each stanza begins to make a place which is dismantled by the last line. Thus it cannibalizes, repeats, comments upon itself and the other poems in its book. To live under the mantle of deciphretude is to live in constant iteration and reiteration under an inescapable low ceiling or sky or umbrella on which we repeatedly hit our heads and from which there is no outside.
