Haiku poems are divided into seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Each poem, written in English, also has a translation and annotation in Japanese prepared by Dr. Hiroshi Kanzaki. Haiku poems have a Hawaii and an international motif. A special 9-page glossary reduces any obscurity caused by unfamiliar words in Hawaiian (e.g., hokuao) or from other countries (e.g., omiage, Japan).
