Poems for Peace

DESMOND EGAN has published seven collections of poems to date. In 1983 he won the National Poetry Foundation Award of America and his Collected Poems were issued by the Foundation (and in a second edition with Goldsmith Press). A new Collection, A Song For My Father, will be published by New Directions (New York) in 1986, which will also see the publication by University of Maine Press of Egan's Collected Prose.
SEAN MacBRIDE S.C. is holder of the Nobel and Lenin Peace Prize. He is a founder member of Amnesty International and President of the International Peace Bureau, Geneva. He is also holder of the American Medal for Justice.
The name of Sean MacBride and his outstanding work on behalf of Human Rights and Nuclear Disarmament is known and respected throughout the world.
