Mass Transport Phenomena

During recent years the field of mass transport has broadened and spread to many engineering and applied science disciplines. Once concerned mainly with gases and liquids, it now includes solids and combinatins of fluids and solids. This text provides a unified and broad treatment in some depth of mass transport phenomena in gases, liquids, and solids, and it relates this field, for better understanding, to momentum and heat transport. It delves into the scientific principles of mass transport, emphasizing the mathematical analytical approach. It is not intended as a design text, but numerous exmples are treated to emphasize the use of theory.
