Sentimental Music

This sardonic, first-person novel is told from the point of view of its anti-hero, Scott Andrews, who is as talented athletically as he is indolent in all other fields of human endeavor save one--sex. His philandering, however, is primarily confined to his childhood sweetheart, Brenda, who he attempts to keep away from his very rich and emotionally disturbed wife, Trisha. This juggling act is inevitably foiled as the two women come into closer and closer contact with one another through a series of unexpected events. Scott's usual resourcefulness is not enough to extricate himself this time and his efforts ultimately lead to disaster.
